Here at the food pantry we have multiple services; we have a food stamp screening program, a clients choice program, and a fresh food distribution every month!
Food Stamp Screening Program: This is an outreach of the CNY Food Bank and the Oswego County Department of Social Services. Peggy Manchester and Linda Trombley have continued this outreach. We now can do “E-Apps” which means we can do online food stamp applications. This is much quicker and easier for everyone involved.
We continue to be a “Client’s Choice” which means the consumers get to pick and choose their own groceries based on a point system calculated when you walk in.
The Fresh Foods Distributions are continuing each month. This is, also an outreach program of the CNY Food Bank. Thanks to the Sandy Creek United Methodist Church for the use of their fellowship hall for this program. This is a very volunteer-oriented program.
We continue to do several fund-raisers throughout the year. Some of these are: Food drives by area churches and organizations; boy scouts food drive; and school food drives. So check back often and we will have updated information and dates for these!
Fresh Food Giveaway is every first Monday of the month (unless it’s a holiday) at the church, start time is 3:30 pm.
