Knitting Project

scenes

We knit for those in need of a visit with a reminder that there are people who care about them (shawls and lapghans), we knit for new-born babies (hats and blankets), we knit for mariners bringing goods across the seas (hats, scarves, socks, vests, etc.), and we knit for the children of our community (hats and mittens for the Friendship Shop’s Christmas project).  Occasionally we even knit for our own families.  But not only do we knit and fellowship together, but we also study our bibles.  This year we are using “A Women’s Small-Group Bible Study” called “knitted together” by Julie Stiege-Meyer and Sara Nordling.  It includes eight bible study sessions with knitting patterns for baby gifts included with each session.

Our group is made up of ladies who are beginners as well as seasoned knitters and crocheters.  But, if you do neither – don’t let that stop you from coming – bring a project (or not), come for the Bible study or the fellowship, or just drop in to see what we are about.

If you know someone who would like a shawl or a lapghan please let one of our ladies know – or call the church office at 315.387.5111. The gifts of our hands are meant to be used!
